1 I would say the 1968 Yamaha DT1,2 1971 Suzuki TM400,3 the 1973 Honda CR250 Elsinore as that changed MX bike manufacturing into a sport of one upmanship.my best guesses really on this.

Hi Matt, I'll give it a go... don't have a copy of the Dirt Bike Buyers Guide, but here you go, my best guesses. 1- Pre-1970 -1968 Yamaha DT-1 - Post 1970 - 1973 Honda CR250 2- Worst Dirt Bike ever - 1971 Suzuki TM400 Cyclone 3- The bike that changed everything - 1996 Yamaha YZ400F Am I close?? Thanks guys, I really enjoy your site and read it all the time. Keep up the great work! John

AND WE HAVE A WINN...nope...sorry. While you may be correct in most of your replies, you have to remember what we had to live with as dirt riders prior to 1970, and after. While the Yamaha Mono changed things for the better, it was not the bike that changed everything. Same manufacturer though (hint hint). As for the WORST dirt bike ever made, you have to factor in only three items to get the correct answer: 1: Handling 2: Reliability 3: Parts prices and availibility You can consult the 1973 Dirt Bike Buyers Guide (if you have a copy) and the answers are pretty much there for all to see. Good try though. Give it another shot. No limit as to how many times you can give an educated guess.

Hmmmmm........ Trick questions, everyone of them, Here are my answers due to the fact that this is the only way I can figure out how to post them. Question #1 Cz side pipe. #2 In my opinion wich is some what slanted, 1979 KTM 420. #3 Any Binnelie but Harley was know to sell some true junkers. And last but not least #4 The yamaha mono shock Mx of 1976 I do beleive. Oldly enough I have never riden a mono shock motorcycle in my life? Strange but true fact....
