MORE WEIRD BIKES
A TRIKE AND A TRIPLE
By Rick Sieman
Looking through the classifieds in CRAIGS LIST can be a pleasant way to waste some time and if everything works out, you can get a few laughs at the same time. For example:

1985 HONDA 200X … SORTA
It was an ‘85 Honda 200X at first, but now it’s powered by a Honda CB500 motor. According to the owner: “It runs great, is in pretty good shape, plastics do have some scratching in it, but all in all good shape. Kick start and electric work, start but the starter needs new brushes or the old ones cleaned. Charging system works, just got done tuning it up, runs really strong, rear axle is extended back 4 1/2 inches, rear carrier bearings are in good shape, brakes work good, will need new head light bulb, the old one burned out, 950.00”

Somehow, I managed to resist the urge to buy this fine (gag!) example of a three wheeler, but no doubt, someone out there will look at this with wide eyes and say, “I gotta have it!”

KTM MUTANT
As you can see, this is an engineering marvel. Somebody had too much time on their hands! They managed to fit a Suzuki 380 triple in a KTM frame. The owner said: “I have not had a chance to ride this, and I don't plan on trying to do so. If you'd like to take a hand at this - be my guest. No reasonable offer will be refused.”
Whoa! If this thing runs, it will rather quickly be bought by someone who will no doubt try to race against his buddies. Soon after, we’ll no doubt see a headline about some crazed dirt biker T-boning a pickup truck, or something equally lurid.
